Lemocrats?

There... I coined a new word.

Lemocrat: Noun. Refers to a member of the Democratic Party in the early 21st century who, together with other Lemocrats, succumbed to mass hysteria and slowly became unhinged. The victims of Lemocratic politics banded together and flung themselves headlong, en masse, from the cliffs of politics like so many Lemmings. Apparently their collective hatred and vitriol fed on itself until it obscured even the most basic connection with real citizens or political sanity.

Example #1 - Allowing Sen Robert Byrd (D-WV), a former member of the Ku Klux Klan, to openly oppose the confirmation of the first ever black, female Secretary of State. Regardless of what he thinks of her politics, this is an instance where he would serve his own crazy party better by keeping his mouth shut and letting a less bigoted and hatemongering member do the questioning.

Once again, if the roles were reversed, there would be an outcry from sea to shining sea... but I doubt the Republicans would do something so stupid. (knock on wood) I doubt the media will make much of it though, and likewise from the Bush administration, it's not really their style.

If I were Condi Rice though, I would never be able to sit there and listen to someone who once wore a white friggin sheet question my integrity.
